Manley Pope
Manley Pope’s “soaring voice” (Entertainment Weekly) and “rock star good looks” (Chicago Tribune) have made him one of the entertainment industries hottest young stars.
Even while performing on Broadway alongside Joey Fatone of N’Sync, and touring America with Roger Daltrey of The Who, Manley continues to garner
critical acclaim for his own music, selling out shows from New York City to Los Angeles. Manley also is a composer, and wrote the score for the Nickelodeon series SIXTH IN THE SUBURBS.
In addition to receiving rave reviews for his work in THE WHO’S rock opera TOMMY, Pope starred on Broadway as “Roger”, in the Tony Award - winning RENT. He also headed up the pre - Broadway productions of Miramax’s ALL SHOOK UP and The Public Theater’s THE UNKNOWN. Pope has also starred in films, such as the festival favorite FEEDING THE MACHINE (Digidance Best Picture) and Paramount’s music industry satire, MARCI X, opposite Lisa Kudrow and Damon Wayans.
Pope’s unique journey has taken him from a small boy in North Carolina to the stages of Broadway. From film and television projects to staged readings of new works and from Radio City Music Hall to the Blue Bird Cafe. “I just enjoy creating and being inspired to tell the stories of these characters and songs.”
